USING INNOVATIVE SOCIAL STRATEGY IN HELPING SABAH ISLAND SCHOOLS: AN EXPERIENCE SHARING
Abstract
Using Innovative Social Strategy in Helping Sabah Island Schools, aims to support the digital transformation of island schools such as SK Pulau Mantanani and SK Pulau Sepanggar in Sabah by focusing on curriculum, co-curriculum, and the management of schools' social ecosystems. The program's primary goal is to enhance digital literacy among students and teachers, equipping them with essential skills for global competitiveness. It is expected to produce significant outcomes, including the enhancement of teachers' digital skills, improvement in managing the school's social ecosystem, and boosting collaboration between the school and local communities. To achieve these outcomes, the Innovative Social Strategy follows a seven-step strategy: assessing the digital needs of island schools, developing tailored digital educational resources, integrating technology into teaching, providing continuous teacher training, collaborating with local communities and stakeholders, strategically implementing the program, and continuously monitoring progress. Strategic partnerships with government agencies, local communities, and educational institutions are crucial to the success of the projects, as these collaborations aim to improve the quality of education while empowering island communities through enhanced digital skills, ultimately preparing students and teachers for success in an increasingly digital world.

SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR ONLINE DONATION
Abstract
One of the key successes of donation-based crowdfunding platforms (e.g.: cultural, religious and community crowdfunding) is the role of social support from all parties, including the crowdfunding provider. The social support for this online platform fundraising is crucial to convince individuals to donate via platforms. In analysis of this interesting key factor, S-O-R framework model is proposed to assess the influence of social support on the trust of crowdfunding platforms as well as its influence on individual’s intention to donate. An online questionnaire was used to obtain data from 359 respondents. The data from the survey was then analyzed and regressed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The empirical results show that emotional support improves individuals' confidence and trust in crowdfunding, ultimately resulting in an increase in their intention to donate. Although informational support influences trust in crowdfunding, there is insufficient evidence that this factor influences intention to donate while trust in crowdfunding is the most important factor in determining whether or not an individual would donate a gift. This study advances information, particularly in the realm of crowdfunding, by adopting social support in the form of the S-O-R framework. In addition, this study also provides alternatives for the crowdfunding platforms in devising strategies to attract more users to donate funds through their platforms.
